Commercial Building Inspection Q & A

Buying a commercial space for your business is a big deal. You definitely don’t want to skip a property inspection before signing on the dotted line. But what do you need to know before the inspector shows up? Phil, Joyce, and the entire team at ProTech Home & Property Inspections, Inc. of Georgia want to help answer a few commercial building inspection questions for Atlanta businessmen.

What can I expect during a commercial inspection?

On the day of your scheduled commercial property inspection, a certified building inspector meets you at the property at the appointed time. We highly recommend that you be present at this appointment, so you can see firsthand what’s included in the inspection report.

From there, the commercial building inspector will evaluate the property inside and out. At the conclusion of the inspection, our building inspection team will make sure you have a copy of the report that same day.

What does the inspector look for?

Depending on your business, the property likely has a unique layout, features, systems, and so on. For example, a restaurant property is going to look drastically different from a shopping mall. Our building inspectors have experience with all types of Georgia commercial properties and adjust the inspection based on that particular space.

A standard commercial building inspection looks at the following features:

  • Structure
  • Electrical system
  • Plumbing
  • HVAC system
  • Windows and doors
  • Insulation
  • Appliances
  • Roof
  • Parking Lot

ProTech Home & Property Inspections, Inc. also offers additional specialty inspection services, in case you want our team to do mold testing, radon testing, or even a termite inspection.

What’s included in my inspection report?

We pride ourselves in giving you a professional commercial building inspection report the same day of the inspection. The inspection report will include multiple pages detailing what the inspector found, including color photos. The inspector will also email you and your realtor a digital copy of the report for your records.

Do you still have a few more questions about your upcoming property inspection? Phil, Joyce, and the entire ProTech team will gladly take your questions and help you find the answers. Contact ProTech Home & Property Inspections, Inc. today by calling (770) 277-5655.
