Cheaper Isn’t Always Better
Imagine moving into your new home to find six inches of water sitting in the basement. That’s not likely the welcome you anticipated. This expensive mishap could have been avoided if your inspector was trained to recognize the weak polybutylene pipe in your house, poor roof system drainage, or improper grading at the exterior of the home. These are just a few examples of many possible conditions that show the importance of hiring trained inspectors.
Due to the proliferation of substandard inspection training schools, there are now more underprepared inspectors than skilled ones. To make matters worse, law does not require home inspectors to be licensed. Some inspectors may even claim that they are “licensed,” but they’re only referring to their local license to operate a business — not to professionally inspect a home.
Schedule an Inspection Today!
If you hire an inexperienced or poorly trained inspector, you may pay a lower rate. However, you may also pay thousands of dollars later to fix a crucial problem the inspector didn’t notice. We’ve been called by hundreds of clients to re-inspect homes because inexperienced inspectors missed serious problems. Don’t take that risk with the largest investment of your life.
Training and Experience Matter
We hold our inspectors to an incredibly high standard. We require them to be certified and experienced, as well as members of the American Society of Home Inspectors® (ASHI). Moreover, we have them train for months before evaluating a home on their own. Even our most skilled inspectors are continually attending seminars and expert training sessions. We also do cross-training so they can perform specialty inspections such as mold testing, radon testing, pool / spa evaluations, septic evaluations, sewer scope inspections, and more. On average, we save our clients more than $7,500 per inspection.
We Go Up On the Roof
Surprise! While approximately 90% of inspection companies only use binoculars to inspect a roof system, ProTech inspectors actually climb up on nearly all of the roofs we inspect, allowing us to get a much more accurate evaluation.
Beware of Biased Inspectors
Some inspection companies offer kickbacks to realtors in order to gain a greater market share. While this arrangement is unethical, it has recently become a big problem. Since ASHI-certified inspectors are prohibited from offering or receiving kickbacks, several inspection firms have had to leave ASHI.
At ProTech we also belong to the Ethical Inspectors, an organization dedicated to exceptional quality and a commitment to ethical practices in the inspection industry. We pride ourselves in exceeding ASHI Standards of Practice.
Our 200% Guarantee
We recently worked with a professional contractor who wanted to know if he could do his own home inspection. As a contractor, he knew a lot about homes. We told him we’d inspect the home and compare lists. If he wasn’t satisfied, we’d do it for free. After seeing everything we found on the report that he might have missed, he happily paid us. Since then, we’ve extended this 200% Guarantee to all homebuyers.
If you’re not completely satisfied with our inspection, we’ll refund your money and pay for another inspector with equivalent credentials to perform a second inspection within your due diligence inspection time.*
In the past few years, we’ve interviewed more than 20 inspectors who we turned down because of lack of training, experience, and commitment. These same inspectors are currently conducting assessments on their own in Atlanta, Alpharetta, and the surrounding areas of Georgia. Ensure that you receive a qualified inspector by choosing ProTech.
Porch 90 Day Guarantee
We know inspectors intend to perform thorough quality inspections, but sometimes deficiencies are found after the inspection process is completed. The Porch Inspection Guarantee can assist inspectors and their clients in the process of correcting deficiencies that are discovered after the original inspection is performed.
If an eligible inspector performs a full home inspection for a client, in compliance with the inspector’s designated standards of practice, and the client finds a deficiency that was required to be inspected and is not in the original home inspection report, then Porch will reimburse the homeowner as described below, up to the cost of the inspection fee ($650 maximum).

The Porch Inspection Guarantee is subject to the terms and conditions described below.
- How much does it cost? The Porch Inspection Guarantee is FREE to all eligible inspectors.
- What is the guarantee claim period for a homeowner?A homeowner may make a claim under the Porch Inspection Guarantee for 90 days from the date of the inspection. An example of when the warranty may apply is if the air conditioner stops working a week after you move in. As long as it wasn’t caused by a pre-existing condition, the warranty company will pay for a repair or a replacement.

Complimentary Lifetime Home Recall Alerts
Since the early 1970’s, American homeowners have been protected from dangerous products in their homes by federal law. Congress prescribed a system whereby if a manufacturer designed a dangerous product, they MUST recall all those items and FIX THEM FOR FREE!
The problem with this consumer protection law is that the customer must search an enormous database every month for each individual product including HVAC equipment, water heaters, and kitchen appliances to learn about a potential fire or safety hazard. There is a database designed and managed by the government, but you would have to wade through 195 MILLION recalled items to find out if a dishwasher, microwave or heat system is a hazard to your family.
How the Home Recall Alerts system works:
ProTech records and submits your appliance data for the property to the Home Recall Alerts center. At Home Recall Alerts Headquarters, your manufacturers and model numbers are computer matched against MILLIONS of recalls using our Model Number Algorithm (MNA).
Home Recall Alerts will then hand-check the report to eliminate wrong numbers from worn plates and ID cards and other problems.
In the event of a potential recall, Home Recall Alerts issues a report including:
- the nature of the recall,
- where the product was sold,
- how to remedy the defect, and
- how to get the item repaired or replaced (in most cases, absolutely FREE).
At www.ProTech-Inspect.com, we believe that our dedication to training and excellence makes a difference. However, don’t take our word for it. Read our client reviews to learn even more about what sets us apart.
